American Idol LaKisha Jones
Lakisha
Jones is a 27-year old single mother from Fort Meade, Maryland. She started
singing when she was five years old and prefers Gospel to other musical
genres. Lakisha has received training in both classical and opera music, but
has a very wide vocal range, which she showed off during her audition in New
York for season 6 of American Idol. She blew the judges away with her
rendition of Aretha Franklin's "Think." Lakisha worked her way through the
Hollywood auditions and became one of the Top 24. She considers her
grandmother Ruth Morris as her personal American Idol. Her favorite female
pop artist is Kelly Clarkson, the first winner of American Idol.Sponsored Links
