American Idol Anthony Fedorov
Anthony
Fedorov was born on May 4, 1985 in Yalta, Ukraine. It was only in the year
1994 when Anthony made the move to the Trevose, Pennsylvania in the United
States. When he was still a baby, he had to undergo a tracheotomy because of
a birth defect. Even though the doctors said that Anthony would never be
able to talk, he tried his best to overcome his disability and even began
singing when he was six years old. Anthony also likes to play sports in his
spare time and is a very good piano player. In 2003, he began his studies at
Neshaminy High School and after graduating went on to study at Bucks County
Community College. His favorite artists are Mariah Carey and Marc Anthony.
He speaks Russian fluently, and can sing in Spanish and Italian. Anthony made the trip from Trevose to Cleveland in order to audition for season 4 of American Idol. When he made it to the Finals, he gained immense popularity for singing songs like "Breaking Up is Hard to Do," "Every Time You Go Away," "Something About the Way You Look Tonight" and "Climb Every Mountain." For weeks 6, 7 and 8, Anthony found himself standing on stage as part of the Bottom 3. Although the judges praised his performance of "If You Don't Know Me By Now" on week 9, the voters still saw otherwise. Anthony was eliminated the following day, becoming the ninth contestant to be voted out.
Since being on American Idol, Anthony has gone on to appear in other reality television series like NBC's Fear Factor, where he was paired with American Idol season 2 finalist Carmen Rasmusen, and MTV's Little Talent Show- Triple Threat. He was also offered the role of Matt in the play The Fantasticks, which will be shown at the Snapple Theater Center in New York City. He was also once linked to season 4 American Idol winner Carrie Underwood, but both of them denied the speculations.
